Tuck-pointing and cleanup have begun on the brick one-room schoolhouse just south of Lewiston, MN. More information to come soon!
Tuck-pointing is the process of removing the old mortar from between bricks and then re-mortaring to strengthen the structure and repair any damage. Its a dirty job, but Mike is up for the task.
Part of the tuck-pointing on the East facing wall of the old schoolhouse has been completed. Evidence of the kitchen that once stood connected to this wall can still be seen on the bricks, including the pass through window that is now boarded up.
